Gabriel Lozada aka LUNIPIR (b. 2002, Caracas, Venezuela) is an audiovisual artist whose work jumps between photography, writing, and video. An avid imaginator, LUNIPIR explores themes of identity, human experience, and the aesthetic of “uglyness”.
Raised in Caracas, the eco-industrial landscape of the city became an influence in his exploration of beauty in the dirty corners of where once stood a shining metropolis, the conflict of the man-made over nature, and the study of self-identity in contrast with the physical space one lives in.
